A video card codenamed GFX1201 has appeared in new Geekbench entries related to AMD's RDNA4 architecture. The codename coincides with the identifier for RDNA4 cards, as GFX11 is used for RDNA3 cards, so it is very likely that this is an RX 8000 series video card.

The GFX1201 has 28 compute units (CUs), which are referred to as workgroup processors. This number should be multiplied by 2, which means that the future graphics card will have 56 CUs and 3,584 stream processors.

It also looks like its clock speed is 2,101 MHz. At the same time, the leak confirms that the card will have 16 GB of VRAM, and although the type of memory has not been confirmed, it is likely to be GDDR6.

However, it is worth keeping in mind that even if this leak is true, it is still unknown what kind of video card it is. It could be a qualification sample or even an engineering sample, which means it doesn't have the full specifications or clock speeds that will be in the final product.

This is also evidenced by the test results - they are extremely low, even lower than the NVIDIA GTX 1650.

Rumors about the AMD RX 8000 series based on RDNA 4 have been circulating since 2022, when it was reported to be released in 2024. Most likely, the company will present new graphics cards in late 2024 or early 2025.
