Xiaomi is expanding its tablet lineup with the release of the budget model Redmi Pad SE 8.7.
The gadget has an 8.7-inch display with a refresh rate of 90 Hz and a color depth of 10 bits. The tablet has two reading modes - paper and classic - and is certified by TÜV Rheinland for low blue light and flicker-free operation.
The new device is powered by a MediaTek Helio G85 chip and has up to 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage, expandable via microSD. The model also comes with a 6650 mAh battery and 18W fast charging support. The tablet is equipped with an 8-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel front camera, and dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos.
Connectivity features include Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, a 3.5mm headphone jack, FM radio, and a 4G variant with dual-SIM support.
Xiaomi has already started selling Redmi Pad SE 8.7 in Europe. Prices start at €139 for the Wi-Fi model and €179 for the 4G version.
