Google has confirmed that it has no plans to release new smartwatches under the Fitbit brand.
Sandeep Waraich, director of product management for Pixel Watch and Fitbit trackers, told Engadget in an interview. The company will focus on Pixel Watch.
"Pixel Watches are our next iteration of smartwatch for Fitbit," he said.
Waraich also noted that Google will continue to develop wearable devices under the Fitbit brand, although these will be simpler tracker devices. For example, the Inspire 3 model.
It was also noted that Sense 2 and Versa 4 will still be available for purchase. However, it is not yet known whether these devices will be discontinued and whether they will continue to receive system updates.
