Recently, we talked about the Honda Civic update and then mentioned the discontinuation of the "heated" version of the Honda Civic Si - but it was not a complete elimination, but only a pause for updates. And now the Honda Civic Si is making its debut in a new and improved form.
The list of exterior changes of the Honda Civic Si is completely identical to the main model: a new front bumper and a modified grille, air intakes instead of fog lights. Also, the Honda Civic Si range now includes a gray color. Among the special features of the Honda Civic Si version are original 18-inch wheels, tinted headlights, a Si logo on the front and a spoiler on the rear.
However, the main difference between the Honda Civic Si is the 1.5-liter turbo engine instead of the 2-liter atmospheric engine or 2-liter hybrid offered to regular versions of the model. The turbo engine develops 203 hp and 260 Nm, which are transmitted to the front wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission: thus, the Honda Civic Si sport version is the only Honda Civic model with a manual transmission today.
In addition to the fact that the turbo engine and manual transmission are back, the updated Honda Civic Si also boasts an improved rev adaptation system during gearshifts and an Individual mode that allows you to choose the speed of engine response and power steering.
Other changes include a new multimedia system with integrated Google services. However, the Honda Civic Si offered sports seats and red front décor even before the update.
Sales of the new car in the U.S. market will begin in August at a price of about $30,000. Although such a car with such a price would be nice in Ukraine, don't you agree?
