AMD has postponed the launch of its new Ryzen 9000 series processors, which were unveiled in June, due to undisclosed production issues. Nevertheless, the results of the AMD Ryzen 9 9950X benchmark and technical details of the processor have appeared on the web. This was reported by VideoCardz.

This will be a 16-core Zen5 processor with a maximum frequency of 5.6 GHz and a default TDP of 170 W, which is the highest among all processors in the Granite Ridge series.

In particular, the results of the Geekbench test of the overclocked AMD Ryzen 9 9950X have been released. In the single-core test, the processor scored more than 3700 points, and in the multi-core test, it scored about 26 thousand points. This is much higher than the results of all other AMD and Intel processors, including the Intel Core i9-14900K.

AMD was able to overclock the processor to 6.7 GHz, but this required liquid nitrogen, which is not available to all buyers. According to this benchmark, the 9950X is 10% faster in single-core and 26% faster in multi-core tests than in previous results.

The launch of the new AMD processor is scheduled for August 15. The price is still unknown.
