Only 36% of PC players buy games at full price, while the rest wait for sales or play Free-to-Play. This is reported by VentureBeat, citing a study by Ultra, which involved 2,000 players aged 18 to 44 from the UK and the US.

According to the study, 36% buy PC games at full price, 32% wait for discounts, and the last 32% prefer Free-to-Play. In fact, 75% of respondents believe that AAA games are too expensive, and 87% believe that discounts are important. At the same time, 68% of players purchase in-game content, including Battle Passes.

Interestingly, 75% of players also buy indie games, and YouTube is the main source of information for those who participated in the survey. 94% of players are looking for new interesting games on video hosting rather than in stores.
