At IFA 2023, Lenovo has unveiled the new Legion 9i gaming laptop, which is scheduled for release in October at a starting price of $4,399. The laptop stands out in the Legion lineup for several reasons, the main one being its standalone liquid cooling system, which is the first time it has been used for a 16-inch gaming laptop.
While some laptop manufacturers have experimented with external liquid cooling, the Legion 9i is designed to cool itself completely without any additional external devices.
The laptop has a carbon fiber lid with a unique pattern for each unit. It also boasts a Mini LED display with a resolution of 3200x2000 dots, a refresh rate of 165 Hz and an aspect ratio of 16:10.
The Legion 9i will be powered by an Intel Core i9-13980HX processor with GeForce RTX 4090 discrete graphics from NVIDIA. The model will also offer up to 64 GB of RAM and 2 TB of storage.
Wirelessly, users will have access to Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.1. The Legion 9i will ship with a 330W charger via Lenovo's proprietary connector and a separate lower-powered charger of up to 140W for USB Type-C.
