At this year's IFA 2024 exhibition, which took place in Berlin from September 6 to 10, Samsung presented new technologies and personalized artificial intelligence capabilities, as well as demonstrated an updated product lineup.

The Premiere projectors

Thus, the company demonstrated an update to The Premiere line of projectors - namely, The Premiere 9 and The Premiere 7 models. As a reminder, this is a series of ultra-short throw projectors for creating home theaters on their basis.

"The Premiere line of projectors will redefine the premium home theater experience by combining our latest laser technology with advanced, user-friendly features that deliver stunning image quality and immersive sound," said Cheolgi Kim, Executive Vice President of the Visual Display Business, Samsung Electronics.

Both models have a 4K resolution and are able to create a large and bright image from a minimum distance from the screen: for The Premiere 9, the maximum image size is 130 inches, the maximum brightness is 3450 ISO-lumens. For the younger The Premiere 7, these figures are 120 inches and 2500 ISO lumens.

The developer notes that this is 23% and 14% more than the previous models, making this year's lineup update significantly brighter, especially for the older model, The Premiere 9: it features triple laser technology to improve color accuracy and brightness.

Also, both projectors have very wide color gamut coverage (154% and 100% of the DCI-P3 standard for the older and younger models, respectively) and support the HDR10+ standard, thanks to which they demonstrate bright and rich colors.

In addition, the new projectors are equipped with artificial intelligence image enhancement features, including AI Zoom and Vision Booster. "AI Scaling displays content in 4K resolution regardless of its original quality, while Vision Booster automatically adjusts brightness and contrast in different lighting conditions for optimal picture quality.

Both models have a built-in speaker system: The Premiere 9 is equipped with 40-watt 2.2.2-channel speakers, and The Premiere 7 has 30-watt 2.2-channel speakers, and supports Dolby Atmos technology to create a surround sound dome. The new projectors can also be used as a music speaker without turning on the screen.

The new The Premiere projectors run on Samsung's Tizen OS Home operating system, which offers access to a range of streaming services, including Netflix, YouTube, Amazon Prime Video, and more.

In addition to their main function - movie screening - the new models can also be used to "decorate the room" with personalized widgets of the Custom Ambient function: users can play their own photos, videos and other useful information on the walls via the SmartThings app on their mobile phones.

You can also send content from smartphones to the big screen with Tap View and Mirroring, and built-in voice assistant support makes it easy to control the projector and other connected devices with simple voice commands.

Additionally, SmartThings integration allows users to control smart home devices such as lighting, thermostats, and security systems directly from the projector, creating a fully integrated home environment.

The Premiere projectors have a minimalist design: the warm white body has rounded corners and a fabric finish by Kvadrat, a Danish textile design company that blends in with any home decor.

You could see the new models The Premiere 9 and The Premiere 7 in action at Samsung's own booth in the pavilion, and they will be available in Ukraine by the end of the year.

AI for everyone

Also at IFA 2024, Samsung presented an updated vision of the "AI for All" concept, which demonstrates the company's commitment to expanding the availability of artificial intelligence so that as many people as possible can get the best experience from its use.

As part of the concept implementation, the conference featured AI for the World and AI for You sections, where Samsung speakers and company partners demonstrated the important role artificial intelligence plays in improving the quality of life of users and the tools that can be used to achieve it.

Samsung's AI for All concept covers a wide range of artificial intelligence products: mobile devices, home appliances, and home entertainment systems. By the end of 2024, the company expects 200 million Galaxy AI devices to be in the hands of users.

The centerpiece of this concept is the SmartThings ecosystem, which unites more than 500 million devices, offering simple remote control of all Samsung AI products - from turning on or off the heating, controlling all appliances at home, to controlling your smart home with a Samsung TV.
