The power of processors, camera capabilities, and screen quality of smartphones are gradually increasing, but there have been no significant improvements in battery life for a long time. But this is one of the important criteria when choosing a new smartphone. For some users, it's less important, while for others it's one of the key parameters. In any case, no one wants to charge their smartphone 2-3 times a day.

Today we have collected 10 smartphones with high-capacity batteries. Of course, this is not a guarantee of long battery life, because there are different processors, different screens, and how well the system is optimized. But this is one of the necessary components. We decided to set the lower limit of capacity at 6000 mAh. There were not many interesting models with this or higher capacity. But there is plenty to choose from: the list includes models of various categories, including flagships and ruggedized models.

Motorola Moto G54 Power

One of the interesting options is the fairly affordable Motorola Moto G54 Power smartphone, which we reviewed. It has a 6000 mAh battery. This, together with a not very powerful processor and an almost pure Android OS, provides very good battery life. Such smartphones are usually not bought by mobile gaming enthusiasts, so you can expect a day and a half of operation without recharging. The smartphone supports 33-watt charging and takes a little less than 1.5 hours to fully charge.

Inside is a rather modest 2.2 GHz 8-core Mediatek Dimensity 7020 processor, 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, which can be expanded via microSD card. Motorola Moto G54 Power is equipped with a 6.5-inch FullHD+ IPS 120Hz screen. The main camera has a resolution of 50 megapixels, phase detection autofocus and optical stabilization. The ultra-wide-angle camera is 8 megapixels, with a viewing angle of 118˚ and autofocus. The front camera is 16 megapixels. The body is plastic with a water-repellent coating.

Samsung Galaxy M35

Samsung's Galaxy M series of smartphones has always been somewhat popular due to its large batteries and affordable price. The current Samsung Galaxy M35 is also equipped with a 6000 mAh battery, so the battery life should be very good. The smartphone supports 25W charging. Unfortunately, there is no power supply included. Samsung has decided to minimize the package in all segments of its smartphones.

The smartphone has a 6.6-inch Super AMOLED display with FullHD+ resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate. The smartphone is powered by a 2.4 GHz octa-core Samsung Exynos 1380 processor with Mali-G68 MP5 graphics accelerator. The amount of RAM is 6 GB, and the storage capacity is 128 GB. A hybrid tray is used, so you can install a MicroSD instead of a second SIM card. The camera is triple: 50 megapixel main camera with phase detection and OIS, 8 megapixel ultra-wide-angle 123˚ and 5 megapixel macro. There is a 13-megapixel camera for selfies. The body is plastic without protection against dust and water.

Nubia Z60 Ultra

We are used to the fact that flagship smartphones usually have small batteries. But this is not always the case. For example, the flagship of the ZTE Nubia Z60 Ultra sub-brand is positioned as an image smartphone with a high-quality camera and a powerful processor. But at the same time, it has a 6000 mAh battery. Of course, the battery life will depend on the usage scenario. However, if you don't play heavy games, you can count on a day and a half. The smartphone supports 80W fast charging, which allows you to fully charge it in less than an hour.

The smartphone has a large 6.8-inch AMOLED display with FullHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, as well as the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, which is complemented by 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. Nubia Z60 Ultra has interesting rear cameras. There are three of them: 50 megapixel main and ultra-wide-angle cameras and 64 megapixel periscopic telephoto with 3.3x zoom. All three have optical stabilization and phase detection autofocus. The body is made of glass and metal and is IP68 protected. Among the interesting features, it is worth mentioning the 12-megapixel in-screen front camera, thanks to which the screen has no notches.

Ulefone Armor 24

Ruggedized smartphones are a separate category. We mean not just protection against dirt and water, as in flagships. We mean models with shockproof cases. They usually have very large batteries. But they are big, clumsy, and heavy, so it's hard to call them mass-produced. But for extreme conditions, it's a good option. Ulefone Armor 24 has one of the largest batteries among such smartphones. The capacity is an incredible 22,000 mAh, and the manufacturer promises a week of operation. It is claimed that the smartphone can be charged in an hour and a half from the bundled 66W power supply.

The smartphone is IP68/IP69K and MIL-STD-810H protected, and is not afraid of not only immersion in water but also falls. However, the weight of this smartphone is 647 g, so there is no question of any convenience. Ulefone Armor 24 is equipped with a Mediatek Helio G96 processor, 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal memory. There is a MicroSD slot. The screen is 6.78 inches IPS FullHD+. The main camera is dual, 64 megapixel main camera with phase detection and 64 megapixel night vision camera with two infrared sensors. The front camera is 16 megapixels. As a bonus, there's a powerful flashlight on the back.

OnePlus Ace 3 Pro

Another representative of the flagship smartphone category in today's selection is OnePlus Ace 3 Pro. It has a 6100 mAh battery, which can theoretically provide a long battery life. Of course, if you don't play a lot of heavy games, for which the smartphone is perfect thanks to the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. According to the manufacturer, the smartphone supports 100W charging, which allows it to be fully charged in 36 minutes.

Returning to performance, the RAM can be 12/16/245 GB, and the storage capacity can be from 256 GB to 1 TB. The OnePlus Ace 3 Pro has a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a resolution of 2780×1264 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The only thing that can hardly be called flagship in the smartphone is the camera. It has three modules. The main one is 50 megapixels with phase detection autofocus and optical stabilization, 8 megapixels with a 112˚ super wide-angle, and an inefficient 2 megapixel macro module without autofocus. The front camera has a resolution of 16 megapixels. The body is protected against dust and moisture according to the IP65 standard.

Samsung Galaxy M15

Today's selection also includes another Samsung model. This is a more affordable smartphone of the same Samsung Galaxy M15 line. It has a similar 6000 mAh battery with 25W charging support. But the rest of the characteristics are slightly inferior to its older brother. Although this is not critical if battery life is the main criterion when choosing, and processor and camera power are secondary.

The smartphone uses a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED display with FullHD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 90 Hz. Inside is an octa-core Mediatek Dimensity 6100+ processor with a frequency of 2.2 GHz and a Mali-G57 MC2 graphics accelerator. The amount of RAM is only 4 GB in the basic version. The storage capacity is 128 GB. The tray is hybrid, so you can install a MicroSD memory card. There's a triple camera at the back: a 50-megapixel main camera with autofocus, a 5-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera and a 2-megapixel macro. The 13-megapixel front camera is used for self-portraits. The body is made entirely of plastic.

Oukitel WP35

Oukitel WP35 is a less extreme rugged smartphone than the aforementioned Ulefone Armor 24. Of course, it has a much smaller battery with a capacity of 11,000 mAh, but the dimensions and weight are much smaller. The weight is "only" 360 g. It is claimed that the battery will last for 75 hours of talk time, 15 hours of video playback, or 60 hours of music. Charging speed is not the smartphone's strong point. Only 18 watts are supported, so the smartphone will take a long time to charge.

The device is equipped with a 6.6-inch FullHD+ IPS screen with a refresh rate of 60 Hz. Performance is provided by an octa-core Mediatek Dimensity 6100+ with a frequency of 2.2 GHz and a Mali-G57 MC2 graphics accelerator. The amount of RAM is 8 GB, the built-in memory is 256 GB, and there is a MicroSD slot. The main camera has a resolution of 64 megapixels and phase detection autofocus. It is complemented by an 8-megapixel infrared camera for night photography and a 2-megapixel macro camera. The front camera has a resolution of 32 megapixels. The smartphone is protected according to IP68/IP69K and MIL-STD-810H standards.

It is claimed that it will last for 11 hours of continuous gaming or 14 hours of video viewing. The smartphone is charged using the bundled 70W power supply, which fully replenishes the battery in 50 minutes and 50% in 20 minutes.

RedMagic 9 Pro

It has a 6500 mAh battery, which is enough for a couple of days of everyday use without hours of gaming sessions. The smartphone is fully charged in 30 minutes using a proprietary 80W charger according to the Power Delivery 3.0 standard. From 0% to 50%, the device charges in just 15 minutes.

There are three cameras at the back: a 50-megapixel main camera with optical stabilization, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 2-megapixel macro. The body is metal, and there are touch triggers on the side.

10 smartphones with batteries from 6000 mAh: conclusions

As you can see, the selection of smartphones with large batteries is not very large. Interestingly, these are mostly flagships, budget models, and ruggedized smartphones. There are almost no mid-range models. The choice depends on the budget and user needs. If the main goal is to simply stay in touch, then budget options with energy-efficient processors will be optimal. If you want a camera, power, and autonomy, you'll have to pay a fairly large sum for a flagship. And a separate, more specialized category is rugged smartphones, which are not very convenient to use but are indispensable in extreme conditions.
