Apple is planning to add Apple Intelligence to its Vision Pro headset. An insider told Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman about this in a new Power On report.
According to the insider, Apple Intelligence will appear on the headset with the visionOS 2.4 update. The release of the new software version is scheduled for April 2025, and beta testing may start as early as this week.
It is known that thanks to Apple Intelligence, the headset gets access to such features as Writing Tools, Genmoji, and Image Playground. As for the updated Siri, there is no need to wait for it.
By the way, according to Gurman, the long-promised Siri improvement may be postponed due to technical problems and bugs. It is unknown when Apple will add the updated assistant to iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
It is interesting that Apple Intelligence will appear in Vision Pro at an important time. Google recently introduced its mixed reality operating system, Android XR, which has deep integration with the Gemini AI platform. The first devices based on this OS will be released later this year, including a Samsung headset similar to the Vision Pro.
