During the Six Invitational eSports tournament ($3 million prize pool) held in Boston (USA), Ubisoft announced a radical update of the Rainbow Six Siege multiplayer shooter, which was released 10 years ago and still brings the company good money.
According to the developers, this will be the biggest transformation in the game's history, including graphics and audio updates, in-depth tactical gameplay, and new game modes. More details about the updated Rainbow Six Siege will be revealed during the R6 Siege X Showcase event to be held on March 13, 2025.
The tactical online shooter Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege was released on Windows and leading consoles in December 2015 and is an online offshoot of the popular single-player tactical shooter series Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six, developed by writer Tom Clancy's studio Red Storm Entertainment. Quite quickly, Rainbow Six Siege has become a popular cyber discipline that hosts tournaments with large prize pools. Rainbow Six Siege is one of the stable and large sources of revenue for Ubisoft. On the occasion of the game's tenth anniversary, the studio presented a separate cinematic trailer.
