Square Enix has closed the iOS version of Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles and removed it from the App Store due to a bug that the company could not fix.
Due to this bug, players on iOS could not actually access paid content after payment. On all other platforms, including Android (not in Ukraine), PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch, this problem is not observed.
Square Enix has announced that it will refund all iOS users who have encountered the bug since January 2025. Due to the inability to fix the bug, the company announced that it will stop supporting the game on the Apple platform.
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles is a spin-off that has grown into its own series. The first game with the Crystal Chronicles subtitle was released in 2003 exclusively for the Nintendo Game Cube. Now Square Enix is releasing remasters of these games on modern platforms.
