Anthropic is preparing to release its next major language model. This is reported by TechCrunch.
The upcoming model is described as a "hybrid" that can switch between "deep thinking" and quick answers. The company will reportedly introduce a dynamic scale alongside the model to allow users to flexibly customize the model for themselves.
The new Anthropic model will be available in the next few weeks. It is expected to outperform OpenAI's o3-mini model in code writing. In addition, the model shows excellent results in the analysis of large code bases and other business tests.
"We’re generally focused on trying to make our own take on reasoning models that are better differentiated," said Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei. "We’ve been a little bit puzzled by the idea that there are normal models and there are reasoning models and that they’re sort of different from each other."
