Scarlett Johansson calls on the government to limit the use of artificial intelligence after a generated copy of the actress appeared in a video criticizing rapper Ye (Kanye West). This was reported by The Verge.

In the video in question, Johansson, along with other celebrities of Jewish descent, such as Mila Kunis, Jack Black, Drake, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Adam Sandler, wear T-shirts with the words "Kanye" and an image of a middle finger with a Star of David on it. This reaction was caused by Ye's anti-Semitic statements on social media and the sale of T-shirts with a swastika.

The actress did not take part in this video - they used a diphone instead. The question of the participation of other Hollywood stars in the video also remains open.

"I am a Jewish woman who has no tolerance for antisemitism or hate speech of any kind," Johansson said. "But I also firmly believe that the potential for hate speech multiplied by A.I. is a far greater threat than any one person who takes accountability for it. We must call out the misuse of A.I., no matter its messaging, or we risk losing a hold on reality."

It's not the first time Scarlett Johansson has faced the misuse of her identity by AI. Two years ago, she sued OpenAI, suspecting that her voice was used to create a voice assistant in ChatGPT. Although the company proved that the voice did not belong to the actress, OpenAI decided to stop using it.

Despite some initiatives, such as a bill to combat sexually explicit fakes, overall regulation of AI in the United States remains limited. Moreover, President-elect Donald Trump rescinded Joe Biden's executive order that provided for the creation of security guidelines for artificial intelligence.
