Jetbeep, a Ukrainian provider of autonomous postal service technology, has acquired Parcelsea, an Estonian company specializing in the production of parcel lockers for private homes and communities. The deal was announced by Jetbeep.
Parcelsea's core product is a community locker based on Jetbeep's electronics and software. The acquisition gives Jetbeep the right to Parcelsea's intellectual property and customer contracts, and brings Parcelsea's team on board to accelerate the deployment of its own open network in the EU market. In addition, the deal strengthens Jetbeep's key partnership with Omniva.
"The community locker developed by Parcelsea offers a unique and innovative design solution that perfectly balances convenience for the customer and efficiency for carriers. We believe that this gives us a significant competitive advantage and brings us closer to achieving our strategic goals. In addition, we are excited about our strategic partnership with Omniva, which further strengthens our market position," said Valery Chekalkin, co-founder of Jetbeep.
For his part, Parcelsea co-founder Andres Sampka explained that the Estonian company has been using Jetbeep controllers in its community lockers for over a year and is fully satisfied with their technology.
"It was a logical step for Parcelsea to merge the businesses, as we have similar strategic goals. Together we are better prepared to shape the future of the last mile industry," he added.
As you know, Jetbeep develops technologies for creating autonomous parcel lockers, helping customers build their own mailboxes with all the necessary functions and the required UX.
