US President Donald Trump has dropped his lawsuit against Twitter (now X) after his account was blocked in 2021 due to the storming of the Capitol on January 6. This was reported by Bloomberg.
The statement said that both parties had dropped the appeal. The statement does not disclose how the two sides resolved the conflict, other than to say that the court appeal was canceled.
In addition to Twitter, Donald Trump has also sued other companies, such as ABC News, which paid $15 million to settle a lawsuit, and Meta, which paid $25 million for blocking the president's Facebook account.
Initially, Donald Trump demanded compensation from Twitter, claiming that even after Elon Musk acquired the platform, the restoration of his account was not enough. In November 2024, his lawyers asked to suspend the case due to ongoing settlement negotiations.
