Daihatsu Mira e:S Turbo concept: small, but a worthy "dream car" for Friday
The upcoming Tokyo Auto Show 2025 is set to be the debut stage for many exciting vehicles. One of the anticipated new concepts is the Daihatsu Mira e:S Turbo hot hatchback concept.
To begin, let's explore what Daihatsu Mira e:S represents. It is a "kei-car," a very compact class typical for Japan, where the length typically does not exceed 3.4 meters and engines are limited to a maximum of 0.66 liters. For example, the original Daihatsu Mira e:S has a length of 3395 mm and features a naturally aspirated engine producing just 49 horsepower with a torque of 57 Nm.
Even with these limitations, the Japanese excel at creating true hot hatchbacks! Firstly, the Daihatsu Mira e:S Turbo concept features a turbocharger (which is logical), promising an increase in power to approximately 65 horsepower: not much, but considering the car's compact size and light weight, it's a noteworthy improvement. Secondly, the new concept boasts an eye-catching exterior design with a modified front bumper, a larger grille, BBS alloy wheels, and more. Finally, Carscoops reports that the suspension has been upgraded – and this time, experts from Toyota's GR Sport division, which now includes Daihatsu, were involved.
So, we have an intriguing yet quite realistic concept car in the Daihatsu Mira e:S Turbo, which could soon move from concept to production. Here's to 2025 and a bright future for not only this model but also for markets like Ukraine!
