The Ceno browser by the Canadian company eQualitie will allow residents of the temporarily occupied territories to bypass Russian censorship and access the websites of some Ukrainian media without the need to use a VPN. This was reported by Ukrainska Pravda.

The browser's peculiarity is that it caches websites that are banned in countries with authoritarian regimes. Later, thanks to alternative technologies, the cache is delivered to such countries, which allows access to blocked sites. Currently, this allows access to Ukrainska Pravda in the TOT, and in the future, access to Mezha.Media will be available.

This solution may be useful, as the Russian authorities block access to Ukrainian media for Ukrainians from the temporarily occupied territories. In addition, the Russians are constantly trying to block VPN services that help to circumvent these bans.

At the same time, the eQualitie browser can provide access to Ukrainian resources without a VPN, registration, collection of personal data, and even when Russia is disconnected from external Internet channels.
