The changes began on November 18, 2024, and on November 26, an additional update was released to completely remove the launcher from 2K games in third-party stores. The 2KLauncher folder has been replaced by the 2kLauncherRemoved.txt file, which can be deleted.
In the case of Steam, users will need to restart the program or computer to apply the changes. In the Epic Games Store, it is enough to simply install the latest update for the game.
From now on, games such as Bioshock Remastered, Bioshock 2 Remastered, Bioshock Infinite, The Quarry, and Marvel's Midnight Suns will launch immediately without additional launchers. All changes to the company's games can be found on the official website of 2K Games.
