The Windows 11 24H2 update makes it impossible to run some Ubisoft games, Engadget reports.
Microsoft has already confirmed the problem. As it turned out, after the update, certain games may not respond to launch or display a black screen. The problem affects Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Assassin's Creed Origins, Assassin's Creed Odyssey, Star Wars Outlaws, and Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. Microsoft says it is already working with Ubisoft to fix the bug.
Microsoft has restricted the installation of the update on devices running these games. The company advises against using manual update methods, such as Windows 11 Setup Assistant or the Media Creation Tool, until the issue is resolved.
