Apple has been developing two new smart home products for some time now. Now, Bloomberg insider and journalist Mark Gurman has revealed details about the basic model of the series.
According to the leak, Apple plans to release the first smart home display in 2025. It will have a hemispherical base with a small screen located at an angle. The new product will look like the iconic iMac G4 of twenty years ago.
In addition, it is known that the device will have a square display, support for FaceTime, Notes, and Calendar, as well as a hub for controlling smart home devices. Gurman notes that the screen and the device as a whole may be smaller than many expected. The screen of the gadget will be "the size of two iPhones placed side by side".
Thanks to the small display, Apple wants to reduce the price of the new product. This will allow users to buy several devices to place them in different rooms around the house.
