The web version of Google Calendar is getting a redesign in the Material You style. Now the appearance of the calendar will be more in line with other Google Workspace services. Also, this update will finally introduce a dark theme. This was reported by 9to5Google.
The company has updated the appearance of the controls and made them more modern and clear. The fonts and icons have also been updated.
But the biggest update is the dark theme. Users can now choose a light, dark, or default theme for their device in the settings.
Google warns that the update may affect the operation of installed Chrome extensions that are active when using Google Calendar.
The new design will be rolled out over the coming weeks to all Google Workspace customers, individual Workspace subscribers, and users with personal Google accounts.
