Apple has decided not to wait for the release of iOS 18.1 by releasing the first beta version of iOS 18.2. Developers can already install the system, MacRumors reports.
Judging by the list of changes, iOS 18.2 is much more interesting than iOS 18.1. The system received many new features of Apple Intelligence. For example, the developers added Image Playground, an application for creating stylized images. In addition, Apple has also installed the Genmoji emoji creation kit, integrated ChatGPT into Siri, added the Visual Intelligence feature that can identify objects and places around you through the iPhone 16 camera, and much more.
In iOS 18.2, Apple has also slightly updated the Arcade app, added categories to Mail, and made it possible to delete the App Store, Safari, Messages, Camera, and Photos for users in the European Union. The system also added the option "Limit maximum volume" to control how loud the iPhone speaker can play audio during a movie or music.
Apple plans to test iOS 18.2 in the coming weeks. If everything goes according to plan, the stable release of the system will take place sometime in late 2024.
