Google Flights will have a new tab to help you find the cheapest flights for your next trip. This was reported by TechCrunch.
The new tab will collect the most favorable flight options, even if they are not the most convenient. For example, there may be a link to a third-party booking site that offers a lower price than the airline itself. Or which airport in the city will be cheaper to fly to.
Google notes that some of the options in the new tab are more "creative". The company is referring to longer layovers, independent bookings of connecting flights, or the ability to buy different parts of your trip from different airlines or booking sites.
Google says that this feature is designed for cases where cost is more important than convenience. The innovation can help you see the lowest available prices and then allow you to decide what compromises you want to make.
The new tab will be launched for users worldwide within the next two weeks.
