Adobe has launched Firefly Video Model, the industry's first publicly available commercially secure video generation model. This is reported by PetaPixel.
Since Firefly's first beta release in March 2023, users have generated more than 13 billion images, 6 billion of which were created in the last six months. Firefly is used in many Adobe applications such as Photoshop, Express, and Illustrator, and with the advent of the Firefly video model, it is now available in Premiere Pro.
Firefly's core video generation technology is text-to-video. Users can describe the video they want in a specific style. In addition, Firefly offers a variety of camera controls within the created video, including angle, motion, and zoom, allowing users to fine-tune the results. You can also create videos using reference images.
Premiere Pro will also feature Generative Extend, a feature familiar to Photoshop users. Editors will be able to create additional space in a video for a smoother transition between shots or delay a timeline frame to create a synchronized edit.
Commercial security is an important aspect for Adobe. Firefly has been trained exclusively using licensed content in the public domain. In addition, content created with Adobe Firefly has Content Credentials that help identify that the video was created by artificial intelligence.
Adobe Firefly Video Model is available in public beta through the Firefly web application. It offers text-to-video and image-to-video conversion. As for Generative Extend, it's already available in Premiere Pro.
By the way, Adobe has also announced new AI features for its Creative Cloud products.
