Lexus LX 700h, the first-ever Lexus LX hybrid, is unveiled

Today, almost all Lexus cars have hybrid versions, but among the few exceptions was the large Lexus LX SUV. Now, this omission has been corrected - the company has recently introduced the Lexus LX 700h.

The basis is the version of the Lexus LX 600 with a 415-horsepower V6 gasoline turbo engine, to which an electric motor was added - it is installed between the internal combustion engine and a 10-speed automatic. Thus, the total power of the hybrid system was increased to 464 hp, which justifies the new Lexus LX 700h index. The hybrid system also includes a battery located in the trunk, a clutch kit for mechanical disengagement of the internal combustion engine and electric motor, on-board voltage converters, etc.

Along with the launch of the new Lexus LX 700h hybrid SUV, the Lexus LX model has been slightly updated: new seats, an expanded range of safety systems, and dual wireless charging. Finally, the Overtail version was added to the Lexus LX range, which combines a high level of equipment with improved off-road capabilities.

Sales of the new Lexus LX 700h will start soon - in late 2024 or early 2025, depending on the market.
