Microsoft has announced its intentions to take advantage of Google's demands to open Google Play to third-party developers. The company said that in November, users will be able to buy and play games directly in the Xbox app on Android. This was reported by The Verge.
This decision was made after the court ordered Google to open Google Play to third-party developers and to stop requiring Google Play Billing from November 1, 2024 to November 1, 2027. Microsoft is already ready to take advantage of these changes.
The court's ruling to open up Google´s mobile store in the US will allow more choice and flexibility. Our mission is to allow more players to play on more devices so we are thrilled to share that starting in November, players will be able to play and purchase Xbox games directly…

In addition to this, the court ordered Google to allow third-party app stores to be hosted on Google Play. Such changes finally prompted Microsoft to turn its program into a full-fledged store. In addition, users will be able to play through Xbox Cloud Gaming on their smartphones.
By the way, Google has already announced that it will appeal the court's decision to force the Play Store to open for downloading third-party stores.
