Microsoft is improving the functionality of passkeys in Windows 11 with an updated design, the ability to integrate third-party password managers, and synchronization between Windows devices.

First of all, Microsoft is adding support for third-party password managers. The company worked closely on this integration with 1Password, Bitwarden, and other companies. Users will be able to use access keys that were created on mobile devices on Windows 11.

Next, the company introduced a redesigned Windows Hello feature for creating and using access keys. Users will be able to go to a website that supports access keys and choose how to save them. They can be saved either directly through Windows Hello or in a password manager of their choice.

Also, access keys saved using Windows Hello can be used on other Windows 11 devices. To do this, on a new computer or laptop, you will need to log in to your account and go through the setup process, after which all keys will be synchronized.
