Tesla's event in Los Angeles will be remembered not only for the Cybercab robot tax i and Robovan autonomous bus, but also for the Optimus humanoid robots. Several of them appeared at the presentation where Elon Musk spoke about the development. This was reported by The Verge.

“The Optimus will walk amongst you,” said the Tesla CEO to the guests of the presentation. “You’ll be able to walk right up to them, and they will serve drinks.”

Elon Musk noted that Optimus can actually "do anything," such as walk dogs, take care of children, mow lawns, serve drinks, etc. According to the businessman, "in the long run," the robot will cost from $20 thousand to $30 thousand.

After the presentation, people were shown interacting with Optimus at tables and in the crowd. However, the robots did nothing but wave or hold drinks. However, at one table, the bot could deliver gift packages.

The event also featured a closed gazebo with dancing robots inside.

Earlier, the businessman said that in 2025 Tesla would have a "small-scale production" of robots for internal use in the company. According to him, in 2026, Tesla "hopes" to launch robots in large-scale production for other companies.
