Off The Grid, a battle royale with Extraction elements developed by Ukrainian-German studio Gunzilla Games and created by director and screenwriter Neill Blomkamp (District 9, Elysium, Chappie, Demonic) and science fiction writer Richard Morgan (Altered Carbon, Broken Angels, Furies Awakened), has received Early Access. For now, only on the Epic Games Store and on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S|X consoles.
In fact, Off The Grid is planning a storyline campaign and co-op, but only Extraction Royale for 150 players will be available in the Early Access for now. The selection of players for matches is still slow, but the game looks interesting.
Most of Off The Grid's developers are based in Kyiv, so it's no surprise that the game features a small cyberpunk Kyiv with the Motherland, the Kyiv TV tower, the Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine, the Salyut Hotel on Ivan Mazepa Street, and more. Unfortunately, the only language of the game is still English.
As always, Off The Grid trailers are impressive and the island where the battles take place looks quite interesting, but we have to warn players that this is a game with support for Blockchain, NFT, and cryptocurrencies.
