The first durability tests of the new iPhone 16 Pro have been released. The thinner bezels of the new smartphones did not benefit their durability during accidental falls. This was reported by 9to5Mac.

Due to the thinner bezels, dropping the iPhone 16 Pro on a corner is now more likely to cause problems with the display, even if the screen itself is not even cracked.

But damaging the screen itself proved to be quite a challenge. In order for the display to become cracked, it would have to be dropped many times.

TechRax also published a durability test of the iPhone 16 Pro using a hammer and a knife. In this case, there are not many noticeable differences compared to iPhones of previous years. If you run a knife along the titanium edges of the iPhone 16 Pro, they will eventually scratch. If you hit the back of the device with a hammer, it will break. And if you hit the screen with a hammer, it will also break.
