Apple has recognized a problem with the installation of iPadOS 18 on iPad Pro models with the M4 chip. This became known from a message sent to authorized Apple service providers, MacRumors reports.
We first reported this problem on September 18, 2024. After the iPadOS 18 update, some iPad Pro M4 users were unable to turn on their tablets.
Apple is working to resolve this situation, but in the meantime, the company has made iPadOS 18 unavailable on the relevant iPad models. The manufacturer has advised technicians to try to force a reboot of the tablets if the device encounters this problem.
Unfortunately, it is currently unknown how long it will take Apple to identify and implement a fix for the bug.
