Google's Gemini Live AI assistant has received a new set of ten voices to communicate with Android users. Each new voice has a unique manner of speaking, character, and accent. So far, the feature is available only in English (US). This was reported by TechRadar.
In keeping with Gemini's astronomical theme, all the voices are named after constellations, stars, or star-related phenomena, such as Orion, Capella, and Nova, respectively.
Initially, voices were exclusive to Gemini Advanced subscribers, but now they are available to all users, making them more accessible. In this way, Google is trying to make Gemini part of every user's user experience.
Google claims that the speech engine used for the voices makes them more emotionally expressive and able to process interactions in a way that is closer to human conversation.
