Respawn plans to stick to the trilogy format familiar to the Star Wars movie franchise and is working on the third and final part of Star Wars Jedi, which will complete the story of Cal Kestis. This was announced by EA Entertainment and Technology President Laura Miele during a presentation for investors, VGC reports.
According to Laura Miele, Respawn has been able to create some of the highest quality and best-selling Star Wars games of all time, with net sales of over $5 billion.
Also on the day this news was announced, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor was released on the previous generation consoles Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
Development Director of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Star Wars Jedi: Survivor was developed by Stig Asmussen. He always envisioned the story of Jedi Cal Kestis in a trilogy format, but left the studio in 2023 after the release of the second part.
He said that inside the studio, they had a pretty good idea of the story of Cal Kestis, of the time frame in which the events of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. We also had ideas about what could happen after that.
