Apple has stopped signing iPadOS 18 updates for iPad Pro with M4 chip, MacRumors reports. This means that the new software is no longer available for download and installation.
The new software was withdrawn after some iPad Pro owners complained that the update locked their devices.
"We have temporarily removed the iPadOS 18 update for M4 iPad Pro models as we work to resolve an issue that is impacting a small number of devices," the company officially stated.
There have been reports on Reddit from iPad Pro users who have had the process of installing new software interrupted. This caused the device to stop turning on. Affected users needed a complete replacement of the gadget.
Not all iPad Pro M4 owners have experienced problems with iPadOS 18. This may be due to installing the iPadOS 17.7 update before installing iPadOS 18.
As soon as Apple resolves the issue, the iPadOS 18 update will be available again for iPad Pro users with the M4 chip.
