Diablo IV has been a huge success for Blizzard, but now we have an idea of exactly how successful it is. One of Blizzard's employees, Harrison Freschke, decided to add a telling characteristic to his LinkedIn profile and disclosed that Diablo IV has brought the company more than $1 billion in revenue since its launch. This was reported by Gamepressure.

Freschke writes that he "executed every step of the game sales since pre-order to the first expansion by figuring and collaborating with other teams resulting in over $1B total lifetime revenue."

He also added that the game had earned more than $150 million from microtransactions alone, which is a rather small portion, it should be noted. But the profile was almost immediately deleted. Neither Microsoft nor Activision Blizzard has yet released full official information about Diablo IV revenues.

It is known that in the first 5 days after the game's debut in June 2023, it earned $666 million (largely due to pre-orders), which Blizzard eagerly boasted about at the time.

It is likely that developers will soon experience significant growth again, as Diablo IV is due out in less than a month: Vessel of Hatred, which will be the first expansion to the game and introduce, among other things, a new class - spiritualists.

Vessel of Hatred will be released on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S on October 8, 2024. Season 6 will start on the same day.
