Apple is developing a new generation of budget smartwatches, the Watch SE. This was reported by the American publication Bloomberg.
According to the leak, the third generation of Apple Watch SE will have a plastic case and different colors. The model will be similar to the iPhone 5C, which debuted in 2013.
The report says that Apple has faced some "cost and quality issues" in switching from aluminum to plastic, but the project is still moving forward.
If everything goes according to plan, the model will be released in 2025 along with the Apple Watch Ultra 3.
As a reminder, the current version of the Apple Watch SE 2 debuted in 2022. The smartwatch costs from $249.
