Motorola has introduced two new smartphones - the 6.7-inch Edge 50 and the slightly simpler and smaller 6.4-inch Edge 50 Neo.
The Motorola Edge 50 has a 6.7-inch pOLED display with Super HD+ resolution, maximum brightness of 1600 nits, 120 Hz refresh rate, and Gorilla Glass 5. The smartphone measures 160.8 × 72.4 × 7.79 millimeters and weighs 180 grams. Three colors will be available: Jungle Green, Koala Grey, and Peach Fuzz.
Inside, the device is powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen processor and comes with 8 or 12 GB of LPDDR4X RAM. There will also be options with 256 or 512 GB of storage. The 5000 mAh battery will charge at 68 watts thanks to TurboPower technology, and there is also 15 watts of wireless charging. Everything will run on Android 14.
The Edge 50 Neo has a 6.4-inch display with Super HD resolution, 3000 nits peak brightness, 120 Hz refresh rate, and Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The smartphone measures 154.1 × 71.2 × 8.1 millimeters and weighs 171 grams. There will be 4 colors to choose from: Poinciana, Grisaile, Latte, and Nautical Blue.
Other specifications are also somewhat more modest compared to the older model. The Edge 50 Neo will have the same RAM and storage as the regular model, but it will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor. The battery will also be smaller at 4310 mAh, but the charging speed and wireless charging remain.
Where there will be no differences is in the cameras. Both smartphones will have three cameras. The main one is 50 MP with Sony's LYTIA 700C sensor, f/1.8 aperture and optical stabilization support. The second 13 MP macro camera is ultra-wide-angle and has an aperture of f/2.2, and the last is a 10 MP telephoto camera with triple optical zoom and f/2.0 aperture, it is also equipped with optical stabilization.
The main camera supports 4K UHD at 30 fps, FHD at 60 fps, and slow motion at 240 or 120 fps. The ultra-wide-angle and telephoto cameras will support 4K UHD and FHD at 30 fps. The smartphone is also equipped with a 32-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.4 aperture.
Both smartphones will also be IP68 water and dust resistant. In addition, they will have a set of AI-based features, including a photo processing function, adaptive stabilization, 30X zoom, long shutter speed, and more.
The smartphones will come with a USB Type-C to USB Type-C cable and a 68W TurboPower power supply. Both the Edge 50 and Edge 50 Neo will also come with a protective case, and the older model will additionally receive a protective film.
Motorola Edge 50 will be available in Ukraine in the near future at a price of UAH 20 thousand, while the Edge 50 neo model is expected to be available in the first half of September at a price of up to UAH 18 thousand.
