The previously announced artificial intelligence feature that will take notes during your meetings has been added to Google Meet. The feature is available for Google Workspace users with Gemini Enterprise, Gemini Education Premium, or AI Meetings & Messaging apps, The Verge reports.
The function is similar to the Meet transcription tool, but instead of transcribing every word, it summarizes what was said.
The feature captures notes in a Google Doc and attaches this file to a calendar event after the meeting is over. This document will also be sent to the meeting organizer and everyone who has enabled this feature.
Google plans to complete the rollout to all Google Workspace users by September 10, 2024.
Unfortunately, it currently supports only spoken English.
