E-book publisher Boox has unveiled a new budget e-reader Boox 6 Go, which will be the cheapest device in the company's range, The Verge reports.
The device uses an updated six-inch Carta 1300 E ink display with a resolution of 300 ppi, which should provide deeper blacks and brighter whites. Like many of the company's other e-readers, the Boox 6 Go is quite lightweight, weighing just 146 grams and measuring 0.6 cm thick.
The price for the US market is $149.99. For buyers from the UK and Europe, the device will cost €169.99.
The device runs Boox proprietary firmware based on Android 12. There is a dark mode option (white text on a black background) and handwriting input. Inside, the Boox 6 Go has a 2.0 GHz octa-core processor and 32 GB of internal storage.
The device has 2 GB of RAM, which may not be enough if you plan to install and use other Android apps.
You can order the e-book on the manufacturer's official website.
