Windows 11 will get a quick patch feature that will allow system updates without requiring a computer restart. This was reported by TechRadar.
The new mention of this feature appeared by accident, as Microsoft published a page with a list of design requirements, but with a new title - Hotpatch for Windows 2024.08.
Earlier, it was reported that in Windows 11 24H2, some monthly updates can be installed without restarting. Insider Zach Bowden said that Microsoft will release two updates that won't require a restart, but a restart will be necessary to install the third update.
In addition, it has been reported that large annual updates such as 24H2 will still require a computer restart because they are much larger and failing to install them can corrupt files on the device.
