Buyers of Google Pixel 9 Pro XL smartphones are reporting problems with wireless charging - even when using the Pixel Stand. This is reported by 9to5Google.
It's not uncommon for a charger to not work perfectly with certain smartphones, but one would hope that Google's own wireless charger would work well enough to charge the company's new Pixel 9 smartphones. Unfortunately, however, there are some problems.
Some buyers of the first models in the Pixel 9 series, including the Pixel 9 Pro XL, have found that wireless charging is a bit erratic. In posts on Google Forums(one, two) and Reddit, Pixel 9 Pro XL owners write that the device charges without problems at first, but after a few minutes, charging stops.
Interestingly, users who have encountered the problem indicate that the smartphone battery does not heat up. This suggests that it may not be a hardware problem, but rather something in the software. At the same time, there are no reports of similar problems with the Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro.
