Garmin has officially unveiled two new smartwatches: Fenix 8 and Enduro 3. They have an AMOLED screen, a solar panel, even more autonomy, and sports features.
Fenix 8
The new Fenix will be available with either a new AMOLED screen or a built-in solar panel. The solar-powered version will be on all the time, though it won't be as bright as the AMOLED. The company indicates that the Fenix 8 with solar lens is 50% more energy efficient than the previous generation watch.
The AMOLED display is available in three sizes: 43 mm, 47 mm, and 51 mm, and with solar charging - 47 mm or 51 mm.
The watch will also have a built-in speaker and microphone. This will allow you to receive phone calls without taking your smartphone out of your pocket. In addition, the watch will now learn to understand voice commands, such as "start strength training" or "set the timer for 5 minutes."
Other new features include new strength training plans for 4-6 weeks, as well as sport-specific training for athletes of all types, including runners, surfers, skiers, and others. The watch is water resistant to a depth of 40 meters.
The watch will cost from $999.99 to $1199.99 depending on the configuration and size, and there is also an option to order a titanium bezel and scratch-resistant sapphire crystal.
Enduro 3
The new Enduro is lighter than the previous model and has improved battery life thanks to built-in solar charging through the display. The watch weighs only 63 grams. Its battery life in GPS mode is up to 320 hours with recharges in the sun.
Among other things, the watch also received a built-in flashlight, advanced strength training plans, and the Garmin Messenger app. The watch case is equipped with a titanium bezel, a scratch-resistant sapphire lens, and a nylon strap.
The Enduro 3 will cost $899.99 and is available in one size - 51 mm.
