Boston Dynamics demonstrates the capabilities of its fully electric humanoid robot Atlas. In a short video on the X platform, the company showed how the humanoid does push-ups from the floor.

"Atlas doing a quick warm up before work," signed the video producer.

In doing so, Boston Dynamics is fulfilling a promise it made back in the spring of 2024. Back then, the company introduced the Atlas electric robot and announced its intention to demonstrate what it could do in the coming months.

At the same time, Boston Dynamics assured that the electric version of the Atlas would be stronger and have a wider range of motion than the hydraulic version, which the manufacturer retired.

Although the new video is not an example of a real-world application of Atlas, it definitely attracts attention.

By the way, Boston Dynamics is not the only company developing humanoid robots. Another manufacturer is Elon Musk's Tesla, which hires people to help train its humanoid robot Optimus.

The requirements for candidates include a height of 170 to 180 cm and the ability to carry about 14 kg of weight and walk for more than 7 hours. Elon Musk says that next year Tesla will have a "small-scale production" of humanoid robots for internal use in the company.
