The original Doom and Doom 2 are back in their best form. Bethesda Softworks announced at QuakeCon the re-release of its groundbreaking shooters, PC Gamer reports.
The Doom + Doom 2 bundle includes cross-platform deathmatch and co-op for 16 players, modding tools, a modification launcher, and an updated soundtrack by Andrew Halshult, who composed the music for Doom Eternal: The Ancient Gods. The original soundtrack also remains in the game.
There are also a number of new accessibility options, including more legible fonts and a high contrast mode. The re-release supports 4K resolution and 120 frames per second using Nightdive's Kex engine.
The game also features a Sigil episode developed by John Romero in 2019 and a brand new modern Legacy of Rust episode created by a team from id Software, Nightdive Studios, and MachineGames.
