OpenAI has announced the deployment of an enhanced voice mode for a small group of ChatGPT Plus users. It is reported by Reuters with reference to the company.
New audio capabilities will allow users to talk to ChatGPT and receive real-time responses without delays, as well as interrupt ChatGPT during the conversation.
Earlier, OpenAI postponed the deployment of realistic voice conversations from the end of June to July 2024, saying it needed time to reach the launch standard.
In spring, OpenAI released new audio tools, one of which was Sky's voice in ChatGPT. Some users noticed its similarity to the voice of Hollywood actress Scarlett Johansson, who was also shocked by the situation.
OpenAI CEO Sam Altman noted that Sky's voice does not belong to Scarlett Johansson. However, the company has suspended the use of this voice in ChatGPT.
