AMD has released an important update to its Adrenalin software for Radeon RX 6000 and RX 7000 series graphics cards or processors with integrated Radeon 700M. The company is introducing the next generation of its AMD Fluid Motion Frames (AFMF) frame generation technology, which works in all games without additional integration by developers. This was reported by PC Gamer.

Now AFMF 2 will turn off in dynamic scenes to prevent the picture from "crumbling into pixels."

The system also received more flexible settings. Previously, AFMF could simply be turned on or off. Now you can select the appropriate backup system for your resolution (High for 1440p or higher, Standard for 1080p).

AMD has also reduced the amount of latency caused by Fluid Motion Frames. In addition, the technology now works in a borderless window mode.

In addition, if you enable the Radeon Chill frame limiter along with AFMF 2, it will prevent the FPS from rising above the maximum refresh rate of the monitor, which replaces vertical synchronization.

For those who want to test the new technology, we note that if the game has a built-in FPS counter, it will not show the increase properly, as the game will not know about the interpolated frames. Use the frame counter from Adrenalin.
