Slack is introducing four widgets for the mobile version of its iOS app. Three of them will be placed on the iPhone home page, and the fourth can be added to the lock screen, allowing users to go straight to the Slack app after unlocking the device. This was reported by TechRadar.

The first widget on the home page is Catch Up, which allows you to quickly see how many unread messages and mentions a user has without opening the app. By clicking on the widget, the user is taken directly to this section of the Slack app, where they can quickly view missed conversations.

The second and third widgets are responsible for displaying the employee's status. One is smaller and allows users to quickly change their digital status. Clicking on it opens the status selector in the app.

The larger widget contains three predefined messages and the ability to write a fourth status directly through the widget. Both widgets have the ability to clear the status without opening the application.

The fourth and final option is a simple app launcher icon that can be displayed on the lock screen as one of the four widgets below the clock. It will allow you to get to Slack immediately after unlocking your smartphone.

With these additions, Slack aims to make it even easier for users to stay connected and be as productive as possible. If you really need to get more work done in your life, the new Slack widgets for iPhone can help.
