In a new financial report, Ubisoft announced that the company has invested a record amount in the marketing of the upcoming open-world RPG Star Wars Outlaws. The exact amount was not disclosed, but it is the highest of all the company's projects. This was reported by Insider Gaming.
Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot noted that the company expects a successful launch of the game based on the "positive community sentiment" around the new project.
"What we are factoring in is a strong launch for Star Wars Outlaws. That’s the fact that it’s among the most awaited games of the industry this year and reflecting a really strong positive community sentiment, and also the fact that we are coming with the biggest marketing campaign ever so far for a Ubisoft game," Guillemot said.
At the same time, IGN recently presented an exclusive 10-minute video showing the game's new gameplay. Despite Yves Guillemot's statements about the positive attitude of the community, this trailer was not received very well by players. They note that the game does not look ready.
