Next year, Tesla will have a "small-scale production" of humanoid robots for internal use in the company. This was announced by the manufacturer's CEO Elon Musk, Reuters reports.
According to him, Tesla "hopes" to launch robots in large-scale production for other companies in 2026.
It is noteworthy that only in April of this year, Elon Musk, during a call with investors, suggested that the humanoid robot Optimus would be able to perform tasks at the factory by the end of 2024. At the same time, the billionaire said that Optimus could be ready for sale by the end of next year.
Last December, Tesla unveiled a new generation of its humanoid robot Optimus. In the video, the upper body movements of Optimus Gen 2 attracted considerable attention.
Over time, Optimus acquired new skills and began to fold a T-shirt on the table. However, these achievements were obviously not the achievements of artificial intelligence, but programmed actions.
